Understand AI credits
Know what generation costs and when credits are spent.
Open Billing & usage → Usage & allowances to check your balance. Workspace AI consent must also be enabled before generating.
| Action | Credits per request |
|---|---|
| Invoice draft or field-writing suggestion | 1 |
| Reusable email template | 2 |
| Whole-sequence proposal | 5 |
| Invoice document extraction | 5 |
The portal shows the relevant cost before you request generation. Costs can change with the product catalog; use the value shown in your workspace.
Included and purchased credits
- Included credits belong to your trial or plan period and expire with that allowance period.
- Purchased credits are spent after included credits and do not reset monthly.
- Packs are explicit, one-time purchases. There are no automatic top-ups or cash overage charges.
Only the workspace owner can purchase a pack, after billing details and checkout are configured. A paid subscription is not required to spend purchased credits. Check the available pack and final price in the portal.
When a request costs credits
Credits are spent just before the provider request. A failed, interrupted or discarded generation can still cost credits if the provider may have processed it. Closing a popover does not undo a submitted request.
Accepting an existing suggestion, editing a draft or approving it does not incur a second AI charge. Explicit regeneration is a new request. Email sending uses its separate allowance.
Insufficient credits disable the relevant generation action when the allowance is known. A writing suggestion may fit a balance that is too small for a five-credit extraction. Manual writing and saved template wording remain usable without generating new AI content.
Token usage in Workspace & team is a separate report. It is not the credit balance or a final provider bill. A platform-wide safeguard can also prevent AI generation even when your workspace has credits.
