Understand sending results
Know the difference between prepared, approved, accepted and delivered.
Open sending history in Email centre or an invoice's Follow-ups tab. Use status, mailbox, date and page-size filters to find a message. Open its details for attempts and safe error information.
| Result | What it means |
|---|---|
| Prepared | The message is saved for processing. It has not been accepted by the provider. |
| Sending | A worker is attempting the send. |
| Accepted | The email provider accepted the message—not proof of delivery or reading. |
| Failed | Sending failed. Inspect the reason before taking action. |
| Cancelled | The prepared message will not continue through that send. |
| Uncertain | The provider may have accepted it, but the result could not be confirmed. |
What actions send mail?
- Generating wording, editing a draft and previewing: no send.
- Publishing a sequence: no send by itself.
- Activating a sequence: enables its future eligible steps.
- Approve & queue email: queues a standalone draft.
- Approve & schedule: schedules a sequence draft within its rules.
An uncertain result
Do not resend blindly. Check the provider's logs or Sent where available. Authorized staff can record a review in message details. That review does not prove delivery, clear uncertainty or create a retry.
If accepted mail is missing, check spam and your provider's delivery logs. Troubleshoot email.
