Create and manage invoices
Save the amount, due date and intended billing recipient.
Open Invoices → Create invoice. Select an active customer and check the billing contact. Enter the invoice number, issue date, due date, currency and total. Add a description if useful.
After saving, choose Set up follow-ups, Send one email, or View invoice. Creating an invoice does not activate a sequence or send email.
To start from a PDF or image, use Upload invoice.
Understand the balance
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Open | The invoice has an unpaid balance. |
| Partially paid | Verified funds have covered part of it. |
| Paid | The outstanding balance is zero. |
| Voided | The invoice is no longer collectible. |
| Written off | The remaining balance was written off through an authorized action. |
Overdue means the due date has passed and a balance remains. It is not a separate payment status. Use a collection hold or disputed state when automated collection should not continue.
Invoice details
- Overview: saved recipient, description, documents and activity.
- Payments & adjustments: allocations and financial corrections you can access.
- Follow-ups: sequence, drafts and sending history you can access.
Upload a document
Use Invoice documents → Upload PDF. Each file must be a PDF up to 5 MiB. Files are private to authorized workspace users. Download only documents from sources you trust. Uploading a PDF does not send it; select it explicitly when composing an email attachment.
Archive hides an invoice from normal active views; it is not payment. Review history before voiding, adjusting or writing off an invoice.
